Norwich businesses test their general knowledge in fundraising quiz night

The Lovewell Blake Quiz saw 90 eager competitors from 14 different professional firms, including lawyers, property consultants, insolvency practitioners and stockbrokers, pitting their knowledge against each other at the Assembly House. 

A team of staff from law firm Birketts carried off the trophy, which was presented by quiz compere Ed Passmore, a partner at Lovewell Blake’s Norwich office. 

Over £2,000 was raised on the evening, a sum which was then matched by the partners at Lovewell Blake, meaning that more than £4,000 has gone into the Lovewell Blake Community Fund, which gives grants to grassroots charities and voluntary organisations across the region. 

Since it was set up in 2008, the Fund has distributed grants totalling over £320,000 to organisations across Norfolk, north Suffolk and east Cambridgeshire.  

Sam Palmer, a Chartered Tax Adviser at Lovewell Blake’s Norwich office, who organised the quiz along with colleague Sadie Nicholls, said, “We are very grateful to the Norwich business community for supporting our fundraising efforts, and are eager to see the impact we can make with community-based organisations, where small grants can make a real difference.”
